In this FREE Art Exhibition, award winning fine artist Marvin Espy floods the New London Cultural District with the unifying message of Grace and Community. This walkable exhibition will feature Live Music and a must see for people of all ages, and of all walks of life.

This series of vibrant colored portraits aims at reclaiming “WOKE”, from its more recently politicized and polarizing misuse, back to its origins in 1920’s Black culture. Here, the phrase “Stay Woke” was an admonition to be aware of one’s surroundings, to pay attention to the signs of the day, and to be careful to make it home safe. To hear these words meant that you were loved, and that you had a home and a community. A message Espy brings home with striking portraits of neighbors near and far, of heroes who overcame the voices of division and hate.
