About the Artist: 
Marvin Espy, originally from Cincinnati, OH, is a nationally celebrated artist known for his captivating cityscapes, soulful portraits, and bold abstract works. His art has been featured in prestigious venues and publications, including his recent exhibition “Up From The Asphalt” at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum (July 13 – October 20, 2024), exploring themes of resilience and hope in response to societal struggles.

A former student of renowned artist Henry Koerner, Espy has received numerous accolades, including "Best Solo Exhibition" in Charlotte Magazine's "Best of the Best" Awards. Residing in Connecticut, he continues to push the boundaries of contemporary art, using his platform to inspire beauty, reflection, and social change.
